²⁹ Peter said to him, “Even if all the others will be scandalized, I will never be.” ³⁰ Jesus replied, “Amen, I say to you, this very night, before the cock crows twice, you will deny me three times.” ³¹ But Peter insisted, “If I have to die with you, I will not deny you.” And they all said the same thing.
